Family handbook

Family Handbook

A concise operating guide for families using Virtueward during the controlled launch and as the platform expands.

Last updated September 7, 2026

Before you begin

  • Confirm the legal homeschool or school structure you are using in your state.
  • Keep the parent or guardian in control of the household account.
  • Review assignment format and AI rules before the student starts.
  • Approve external resources before student use.
  • Keep account credentials private and do not email sensitive student information.

During the school week

Use the curriculum schedule as a guide, adjust pacing when needed, preserve required evidence, and review student understanding rather than relying only on completion. When a task allows Moriah, use her for explanation and guided practice rather than answer substitution.

Records

Parents should maintain the records required by their state. Virtueward’s digital gradebook, attendance, portfolio, AI-session visibility, and export features are being expanded in controlled releases; keep independent copies of legally important records until the relevant platform feature is proven and available to your household.
