Privacy & child protection

Family Privacy & Child Data

Virtueward is designed around parent control, data minimization, and clear limits on what the platform may collect or do with a learner’s information.

Last updated September 7, 2026

Current pilot boundary: the live pilot uses an adult-controlled household account. Child email addresses, student profiles, student answers, photographs, drawings, voice recordings, transcripts, precise location, advertising profiles, and public student posts are not enabled in the current launch step.

Who controls the account

A parent or legal guardian creates and controls the household account. A child under 13 may not independently create a contractual or paid Virtueward relationship. Parent authority remains the governing layer for student access, optional features, media, AI use, and records.

Information collected in the current pilot

  • An adult-selected username and a platform-hashed password.
  • An isolated household identifier and acceptance of the applicable family notice.
  • Authentication/session records and basic security timestamps needed to protect access.
  • Support communications that a parent or guardian intentionally sends to UVP.
  • Basic technical logs such as IP address, browser/device information, timestamps, and error/security records generated by hosting and application infrastructure.

Children under 13 and future features

Before Virtueward enables a feature that collects personal information directly from a child under 13, UVP will provide the required parent notice and implement an appropriate verifiable-parent-consent process where COPPA applies. The parent must be able to review, correct where appropriate, delete, or stop further collection of covered child information, subject to lawful retention requirements.

How information is used

  • Provide household access, curriculum features, support, and records the parent has enabled.
  • Protect accounts, prevent abuse, troubleshoot failures, and maintain service integrity.
  • Process purchases only when paid enrollment or products are clearly offered and the adult completes the payment step.
  • Comply with lawful accounting, contractual, safety, security, and regulatory obligations.

What Virtueward does not do

  • Virtueward does not sell student personal information.
  • Virtueward does not build advertising profiles from student activity or serve behavioral advertising to students.
  • Virtueward does not require a child to keep activity secret from a parent or guardian.
  • Virtueward does not intentionally submit identifiable student content for general-purpose public model training.

Service providers, retention, and deletion

UVP may use hosting, database, security, email, payment, storage, and AI service providers only as needed for an enabled feature. Providers receive only the information reasonably needed for that function. Current pilot household data is retained while the account remains active or as needed for security, support, disputes, accounting, or legal obligations. A verified parent may request account deletion at any time.

Privacy and deletion requests: admin@unshakenvoice.tech. Pilot account requests may also use pilot@unshakenvoice.tech. Do not email student work, passwords, photographs, recordings, or other sensitive student material.

Policy changes

If future portfolio, media, student-profile, live AI, or other learner-data features materially change the information Virtueward collects, the applicable notice will be updated before the feature is relied on for student use.
