Data & Cookie Practices

This page explains the operational data Virtueward uses to keep accounts working, secure the service, and support enabled family features.

Last updated September 7, 2026

Essential account and security data

  • Household/account identifiers and authentication state.
  • Essential session cookies used to keep a signed-in family session secure.
  • Security logs such as IP address, browser/device type, request time, failed-login information, and error events.
  • Policy acceptance records and support-request history.

Cookies and tracking

Virtueward may use essential cookies for authentication, security, fraud prevention, and user-requested preferences. Virtueward does not use student activity for behavioral advertising. If non-essential analytics or marketing cookies are introduced later, the site will disclose them and provide any consent controls required by applicable law before relying on them.

Payments

When paid enrollment or products are offered, payment-card details are processed by the disclosed payment processor rather than stored directly by Virtueward. UVP may retain transaction identifiers, purchaser contact details, product/plan information, payment status, refunds, and accounting records.

AI and external-service data

Moriah and other AI-supported features may use external providers only when the feature is enabled and only for the information needed to perform that function. Identifiable student content is not intentionally submitted for general-purpose public model training. The parent-facing notice will identify material changes to provider use before learner-data features expand.

Retention and deletion

Data is kept only as long as reasonably needed for the active account, enabled feature, security, support, accounting, dispute resolution, or legal obligation. When a verified deletion request is honored, active account records are removed or de-identified except for records that must be retained for a legitimate legal, security, or financial reason.

Security practices

  • Passwords are stored using platform hashing rather than readable plaintext.
  • Production sessions use secure cookie controls and bounded authentication sessions.
  • Access to administrative records is restricted to authorized operators.
  • UVP uses hosting and application safeguards intended to reduce unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or loss.
  • No online system can be guaranteed completely secure; suspected security issues should be reported promptly.
